This essay is absolutely beautiful. So sorry for your loss, but thank you for writing about it. I had not heard about this kind of artistic treatment of ashes. Very poignant.

I understand this. I had my dad’s ashes put into a decoration on an ornate brass cross, so he can travel with us everywhere we go.
