What's compelling/mysterious about this heartfelt piece is that Lisa didn't go into detail about the destruction which erupted in her room and broke her precious figure, but the trauma of a personal act against one's core and need for safety still comes through by her words of resilience and love for her own daughter.
This is so beautiful and powerful at the same time.
Thank you Rose for your kind comments.

I had a similar thing that was a barometer. I wish I knew what happened to that!
I think it had our birthstone on it too.
Mine was pink and my brother’s was blue…
Read this with tears in my eyes, Lisa.
I feel honored to have my work linked alongside your beautiful words. ❤️
Emily, you are so kind. I love that this resonated with you. 💕 Thank you so much for letting me know.
I had one of these! Purple, with an amethyst birthstone for February. I adored it.
thanks to my daughter, I also have one with her birthstone and one with my husband’s!
