So fun to read! "Here these creeps were going to get front-row seats when they hadn’t made me laugh and I would rather puke up that morning’s margarita than think about them enjoying the sight of my nipular neighborhood."

I am such a fan of your wordsmithing, your zest for life, your fearless putting yourself out there all the time in all the places. If I ever decide to work with a writing teacher in my retirement years I am coming to you!

Wow, I loved reading this so much, I think I have to read it again. You captured that scene so well… What a wonderful writer you are! I can relate on so many levels having been trapped in a similar position on a beach in California with similar skin where the sun is like, as you described, like “melanoma miracle gro.” Thank you for sharing.

Oh, how I loved reading this. I FELT it, though I have never been in that specific situation. I could see them, next to you. I have met them. All that was running through your mind- so well crafted. It inspired me to dig deeper into each moment to see how much is there, amid my never-ending thoughts in every situation. Wonderful writing, relatable story at its core.

Such creeps make me ashamed of my own gender...and far from for the first time. You evoke the shittiness of the scene so well!
