I can absolutely relate to your reaction to Kandinsky's art. I had the same feeling the first time I saw one of his works (in a book); he's still one of my favorite artists. Great essay! I enjoyed reading it - beyond the Kandinsky moment.

I was sent this link earlier....not sure it was a good thing. I was listening to Philip Harper, then came the article and I moved closer to Dave Brubek and my weekly existential crisis. The music. The art. Trips to different museums...as I'm fond of saying: We were soldiers once, and young.
