What a wonderful story. While I've never seen the poster of a 40-story-tall casual Jesus peering into the top floors of a building, I have been traumatized by Hologram Jesus when his sad gaze followed me everywhere in Sunday School. I must have been such a disappointment to him. If they'd let us build with Legos, it would have been calming. I'd have enjoyed a Noah's Ark set.

I'm so sorry, I just now saw this. OMG hologram Jesus. Looking sad. Sometimes also looking tortured. I mean, maybe you were a disappointment to hologram Jesus but that doesn't mean you were a disappointment to any real type Jesus! And now you've made me want to make a lego Noah's arc. Or at least go find a photo for you of the scene from the Lego Bible. Have you seen that? Two book set of glossy photos of almost every scene from the Bible created in lego!

Such a stunningly entertaining read, from one quiet activity/ Lego processor to another. Thank you for sharing this!

This is delightful. I had never thought about Lego as a device for meditation. And Jesus pops up in the oddest places.

Fabulous piece! Helped me understand Lego habits and religious longing.

Now I would love to have a parallel craft play date with Legos, knitting and/or coloring
