Thank you for reading, Denise. I was very lucky that I took to the first antipsychotic they put me on. Many people go years without trial and error. And I agree—if only we had better access. Even the generics of some of my medications cost $900 for a 30-day supply without insurance. I would be ruined if I didn’t qualify for state insurance, needing medication for both schizophrenia and bipolar. But the medication is lifesaving. There’s no other way around it.
